IMPACT Social Studies teaches the art and strategy of inquiry as teachers model how to ask questions and do research. Students learn how to analyze sources and consider multiple perspectives as they think critically about problems, events, places, and people.

Grades 6-8 Students use a variety of maps and documents to identify physical and cultural features of neighborhoods, cities, states, and countries and to explain the historical migration of people, expansion and disintegration of empires, and the growth of economic systems.

Through social studies, students are able to learn both physical and cognitive skills that will help them develop strong learning skills for life. They can also learn self-help skills that will help them to cope with issues as they grow. Let's look at our same two students, Juan and Andrew.
