How To Reheat Naan - Mesa 21 (1)

Naan is one of my favorite dishes to cook on a Monday night, but I often end up with leftovers and need to reheat them for lunch the next day. Luckily there are a few quick and easy ways to reheat your naan.

Baked In The Oven

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Remove naan from container or bag and place on greased cookie sheet. Bake for 8-10 minutes until heated through.*

You can reheat any leftover naan in the oven, but I recommend placing them on a greased cookie sheet to keep them from getting dry and stuck.

The oven retains the original texture and flavor the best so when I have enough time it is my go to method.

Frying Pan Method

Preheat frying pan over medium heat with a tablespoon of butter. Heat naan until crispy on each side.

This method is actually really tasty and if you’re not opposed to refrying then it is great for texture and flavor.

I like to finish them off with a sprinkle of salt and pepper and some garlic powder or paprika just before we eat them.

Microwave Oven Method

Ok so this is not my first choice for reheating naan but when you need it done fast it works well enough.

Set your naan on a paper towel lined plate and microwave for 30 second intervals until desired temperature is reached. I like to flip my naan about half way through heating.

Be sure not to over heat as your naan will get quite rubbery.

How To Store Naan

Place leftover naan in an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 4 days. Naan will also freeze great in a freezer bag for up to one month.

It’s best to reheat from frozen about 10 minutes at 350 degrees in your oven. Frying works for frozen naan as well but I wouldn’t microwave it.

Conclusion

Glad to know you’re enjoying this article and hope you manage to find a way of reheating your naan that works best for you.

I love hearing from my readers and I hope that even if your method is different than mine that it serves as an inspiration in the kitchen. Be sure to check out some of my other kitchen tips!
