Why is my Oster food processor blade not spinning? ›

If the blade is not turning, make sure the jar is seated properly on the base of the unit. If the above has been checked and the blade will still not rotate, please refer contact us.

Make sure the blender jar is securely attached to the base. If not properly aligned, the blades may not rotate. Inspect the blade assembly for any obstruction or debris that may be preventing movement. If necessary, remove the blade assembly and clean it thoroughly before reassembling.

Here are some things you can check if your food processor won't turn on: Power:Make sure the outlet is on and the power cord is plugged in. Assembly:Check that all parts are assembled in the correct order. Fuse:Check that the fuse in the circuit is working.

How long do blenders last? In general, less-powerful blenders will last three to five years, while more expensive models with a powerful motor will last about 10 years. However, how often you use your blender will impact its lifespan.

Blender Bottle is Placed in the Base Incorrectly

After making sure the blade assembly is fastened to the blender bottle, place the blender bottle into the blender base. The arrows on the side of the blade assembly need to be lined up with the arrows on the blender base for blending to initiate.

Swedish (Öster) and German: topographic name from Swedish öster, Middle Low German and Middle High German ōster 'eastern', denoting someone who lived to the east of a settlement or who had come there from the east. In many cases the Swedish name is probably ornamental. Compare Ester and Oester .

John Oster Sr. founded the John Oster Manufacturing Company in 1924 in his garage located in Racine, Wisconsin, USA. The first products brought to market were manually driven hair clippers which became motor driven a few years later.

In order to grease the clipper, remove the front cover plate (nameplate) to access to the gear box. This will allow you to determine if the clipper needs to be greased. If clipper does need grease, use about 1/2 teaspoon. Fill the gear box with the grease.

Running your food processor for an extended period of time produces heat. Occasionally, enough heat can be produced to create a fusion between the Multipurpose Blade and the motor shaft. Friction produced while processing very hard foods can also create enough heat to cause this fusion.

Lastly, if the motor turns but the blades don't, it might just need a good cleaning and some lubrication. Remove the blade and clean it thoroughly. Then, apply a small amount of food-grade lubricant to ensure smooth movement.
