Afrobeat star, Davido is the most followed Nigerian celebrity, based on compiled calculations of major platforms, like “X” formerly Twitter, Facebook, Tiktok and Instagram.
The Grammy nominee boasts an impressive 56.1 million followers across various platforms. According to the latest rankings from entertainment statistics company Top Charts Africa, Davido, popularly known as the ‘OBO’ crooner, secured the top spot in a list released on Tuesday.

Following closely behind is Grammy-winning artist Burna Boy, holding the second position with 38.6 million followers. Not far behind is Wizkid, securing the third spot with 38.4 million followers.
In the female Afropop category, Yemi Alade and Tiwa Savage are neck and neck, each amassing 34.3 million followers, landing them in the fourth and fifth positions, respectively.
The list extends beyond music to include influential figures from various entertainment sectors. Notable personalities in the top ten include actress Mercy Johnson with 33.5 million followers, music executive Don Jazzy with 30.1 million followers, and singer Simi with 29.9 million followers.
Rounding out the list are skit maker Mark Angel with 29.7 million followers and actress Regina Daniels with 28.7 million followers, completing the top ten in that specific order.
The rankings were determined based on the celebrities’ follower counts across four major social media platforms: Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), Facebook, and TikTok. It’s clear that these Nigerian stars are not only dominating the music scene but also influencing and captivating audiences across diverse digital platforms.
