" mommy ? " Karlie asked walking up to me

" yes baby ? " I said grabbing her hand and sitting her next to me

" why don't I see my cousins anymore ? I miss baby Lani " Karlie said looking up at me

I sighed " that's grown people business baby , you wouldn't understand "

" but what if I never see my auntie or uncle again ? " she puckered her lip and looked down

" he'll be back alright ? " I said reaching out my hand to hug her

" oh , I didn't realize you were there " I softly chuckled tucking a strand of hair behind my ear

I heard him whispering to someone then footsteps approaching ...
