Purpose:
The BIPOC Artist Exchange and Activation Initiative is designed to showcase the contributions of BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) artists to the New England art community. This program empowers BIPOC artists in New Hampshire and New England, inspiring local BIPOC artists by introducing them to artists from outside our community.

Eligibility:

- Artist must identify as BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, (and)People of Color) and reside within one of the 6 states of New England (Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut and Rhode Island.
- The grant covers travel expenses using the IRS standard mileage rateat $0.655 per mile roundtrip.
- Proof of home location may be requested to determine compensation for travel distance.
- Artists must provide proof of attendance at the event to receive reimbursem*nt.

Grant Coverage:
- The grant covers travel expenses using the IRS standard mileage rate.
- It also covers the labor of the artist during the event, calculated at the average nonprofit pay rate of $20 per hour.

- Event Registration Fee if applicable.

Maximum Grant Amount:
The maximum grant amount is $300.

Application Process:
- Artists can apply using the provided application form.
- Required information includes the artist's home city, event location, estimated travel miles, travel hours, and event duration.
- Details about the event must be provided to ensure that the artist's participation aims to share their work with the New Hampshire community.

- Artist will receive notification of approval of the grant prior to event, provided application is sent at least 7 days before event date.

- Grant will be distributed following the event, via venmo or check, and after confirmation of event attendance is shared with the Queerlective Team.

Event Requirements:
The event in which the artist participates in New Hampshire must be one that shares the artist's work with the local community. This can include art markets, exhibitions, or other art-related events.

Application Deadline:
Grant applications will be accepted until funds for this program are exhausted.

Selection Process:
- Grantees will be selected on a rolling basis.
- Applications will be evaluated based on specific criteria to ensure that the artist is actively sharing their work with the New Hampshire community.

Required Outcome:
Artists must share their work in New Hampshire to some capacity.

Reporting:
After the event, grantees will be required to complete a short follow-up survey, which serves as the final report for the grant distribution.
